There could be so much in Izaya's past though. He's screwed so many people over that it's hard to even theorize anything.

The whole 'can't go back' to his job thing is... worrisome. The twins have Igor... I shall keep repeating this to myself in order to find a little comfort. Wuu~ And who is this devil omg omg so excited XD

my friend and I are hoping the 'devil' is Yadogiri Jinnai >.>;;;

seriously need more info on Yadogiri. that guy acts like a shadow mastermind but barely showed up.

EDIT: forgot about Shiki putting a 'lock' on Izaya. I'm ALSO ALL FOR IT IF SHIKI Awakusu-Kai have a bigger role in this!

I'm also much more nervous than excited about this.
Please don't make anything bad happen to Izaya, I just...I just don't want that! *is actually seriously worried*

I mean, imprisonment? And his past? Please don't let it be super-bad or something like that either x_x Though maybe we're also gonna learn about how he supposedly tried to kill Shinra once? That would interest me.

*sigh* I only hope Izaya will be alright ;_; My heart just stopped there for a second.

I love Izaya but I love seeing all the sides of the characters I like, so I'm excited and I even hope something really bad happens to him for once, it will be awesome. Buuuut I hope Narita won't decide to give us a backstory meant for the readers to feel sorry for Izaya because I feel that would be REALLY lame.

Huh? Something actually happened in Izaya's past? Well, he did mention that he had completely normal parents. He never said that his life was entirely normal. I had always assumed that Izaya became a manipulative person just because he wanted to. I guess it's true there's a reason for everything.

@Anon: No way. Hopefully, that won't ever happen. I mean, this IS Narita. His storylines are quite original.

Why would he want people to feel /sorry/ for Izaya? If I know Izaya, he'd hate to be pitied. Besides, he has so many fans it isn't neccessary.

I'd like if through his reminiscing, he'll think more along the lines of... "Well, it seems like my time is up! Oh well, I don't have any regrets, though I would have liked to end the life of the one I hate most."

I would despise his end to be that of being trapped in a cage for the rest of his life. If no one decides to break him out to use him, then I want Izaya to die beautifully.

By his own hands, or by Shizuo's (as Shizuo's first "murder"--Izaya dies accidentally, but it's his fault).

OMG! Finally, we'll know Izaya's past! I am so excited and worried at the same time *.* I've always been curious about it, especially the matter between him and Shinra, the reason why he stabbed him in middle school. Izaya always said to come from a normal family, then the past that will be revealed, I think is linked to his illegal business since he's became an informations broker. In fact it has always seemed strange to me that although he has relationships with dangerous criminals, no one has ever wanted revenge. Maybe now that moment has arrived. The guy in question might be that Yadogiri, who knows, he's still a character shrouded in mystery.

@Anonimous - I don't want anything bad would happen to Izaya, I know that he's a bastard and he deserves it, but I don't want him to suffer because I love him ç_ç Perhaps a lesson that will allow him to understand that the evilness you do to others sooner or later turn against you, but nothing excessive. My heart would end up in pieces... ç__ç But from what the translation says, it must be something very serious as it could even prevent him from continuing his job. However, Izaya doesn't need a painful past to be loved by the fans, he's already a very appreciated character especially for his nature of manipulative bastard. His death it's entirely excluded, the series wouldn't be the same anymore without him, Narita knows this very well, he wouldn't ever make such a mistake. And Shizuo will never kill Izaya because he's not a murderer, I'm sure that at the critical moment he'd pull back because it's not in his nature to kill even if it's his worst enemy.
